Why Now?
With the residential home sales market at all time lows, builders need to do more than ever before to keep inventory moving. One of the perks that a builder can offer homebuyers is a “bulked up” home warranty policy that covers more potential issues that could come after the home has been purchased. These might cover elements such as plumbing, heating, major appliances, air conditioning, pools spas or other items and work within the home itself. PHWS is pleased to announce the addition of two new franchise partners, Mike Murphy and Trevor Spear. Mr. Murphy brings over 15 years as a builder to the PHWS team and will own and operate PHWS Mid-Atlantic. Mr. Spear also brings almost 20 years in the building industry to PHWS, along with former franchisee experience with a competitive third-party warranty service company. Mr. Spear will own and operate PHWS North Carolina.

PHWS Makes Splash at International Builders Show in Las Vegas

PHWS is celebrating a big success at last month’s International Builders Show in Las Vegas. Held January 19-22, the International Builders Show is the largest industry tradeshow in the country, and PHWS was onsite at a custom booth providing attendees with information about its exceptional range of services.
Over 750 visitors stopped by the booth this year, making PHWS one of the most popular innovators on the conference floor.

Industry Update: Homeowners Getting More Mortgage Help

The Sacramento Bee reports that mortgage lenders are doing more to help modify distressed loans. According to data recently released by the U.S. Treasury, lenders permanently modified 116,297 home loans across the nation in January, almost double the amount in December 2009. The numbers showed that one in five permanent modifications took place in California.
